Two ISP load balance and failover Hi everyone out there good day. My name is John and therefore i got an issue that i need the forum help I got a fortigate 500D therefore im configuring Load Balance with two isp, but right now im stacked at point where im prompted to Edit the wan link load balance interfaces, exactly where i have to add and Adit wan 1 and wan 2. Load balancing is defined as the methodical and efficient distribution of network or application traffic across multiple servers in a server farm. Each load balancer sits between client devices and backend servers, receiving and then distributing incoming requests to any available server capable of fulfilling them. Network load balancing (commonly referred to as dual-WAN routing or multihoming) is the ability to balance traffic across two or more WAN links without using complex routing protocols like BGP. This capability balances is network sessions like Web, email, etc. over multiple connections in order to spread out the amount of bandwidth used by each Set WAN Load Balancing to Volume. This will distribute traffic based on volume of traffic measured in bytes. Create new > Add WAN1 and WAN2 to the list of Interface Members, Status Enable, and set it to use the Gateway IP provided by the ISP. Select Load Balance Algorithm > Volume > set Weight for WAN1 and WAN2.
