However, the subnet mask is still 255.255.255.255. When opening the Properties dialog for the IPv4 connection on my Windows 7 RC client machine I don't see a way to specify the mask, only the IP address (static or automatic). I suspect there is a setting on the VPN server that needs changing, but I haven't seen anything relevant yet. I have Norton 360 with Secure VPN. Firstly it must be turned on each time I reboot. Then a problem started to occur. When I tried to turn on Secure VPN it stopped showing my IP Address. And wouldn't show the new IP Address. Turns out it never changed anything.
